Halloween

Jack was a Puppy this year for Halloween.  I wanted to make sure he was going to wear the "hat" that went with his costume, otherwise you wouldn't be able to tell what he was.  So one afternoon I put the hat on.  And he didn't seem to mind it.

Cheese

He even sat and ate his snack with it on.

I wanted to include this...his teacher had made this frame with Jack's picture in it.  The picture is when his class walked over to the pumpkin patch that is located next door to his school.

To start the festivities, we celebrated Grandpa's birthday.  This included Grandpa and sissy, my Aunt, uncle and cousins and Nanny and Papa.  Jack always enjoys going over to Grandpa and Sissy's house.  There aren't many kid toys, but Jack doesn't care because there are big people toys and he likes to play with those.  One of his favorite things to do is play in the back of Grandpa's truck.

How cute is this?

Jack, loving the attention and being able to run around in the truck.

My dad is always working on fixing up some antique he has bought.
Here is an old cash register Jack has found.

Drawers!

After gifts were opened, cake was eaten (not by Jack, he doesn't like sweets) we all headed outside to enjoy the warm weather.

Reading and eating a snack with daddy

Right before we left Grandpa and Sissy's, we changed Jack into his Halloween costume so everyone could see him.  This year Jack was a puppy.  He loves puppies, real ones and stuffed ones.  And loves to say enthusiastically "PUPPY!!"

So here are some pictures of my oh so cute puppy, 17 months.

Very excited!

He held onto his pumpkin the whole time.

"Running"

Daddy and Jack...Jack has spotted a REAL puppy.

So he got to pet it.

There are about 2000 people that come to this festival, most of them were standing in the trunk or treat line, which luckily Jack is not aware of what that is yet.  So of course we ran into a few people.

KK, Jack, and Mimi

Jack ran into his friend James...they had a friendly tug of war with the pumpkin.  Neither of the moms could get a good picture of their faces.

One of the things Jack loved was the small little band.  Jack could have stood and watched them all night.  He loved them.  Here is a video of him watching and dancing a little.

The last thing we did was visit the petting zoo.  I don't think Jack had learned "gentle hands" yet.

Exploring

The next night was actually Halloween.  I hadn't planned on taking Jack out but at the last minute I thought why not.  So we went out for maybe 30 minutes.  Jack wasn't that fond of going up to strange doors but he enjoyed his wagon ride.

Jack checking out the candy he got....about 5 pieces.

Hasn't learned that you have to take the wrapper off.

Pumpkin Patch

Ben, Jack and I traveled to our favorite little pumpkin patch in Grapevine.  Ben and I had been at least 2 times before Jack was ever born.  I don't remember if we went last year.  Funny. I guess if we did then I still had mommy brain.  This is such a cute little place.  First off, it is FREE.  Then they have the cutest spots for you to take pictures.  Jack enjoyed running free and getting to explore.

After visiting the pumpkin patch we went to eat at Rosa's Tortilla Factory.  We don't have one in Arlington and have made it a little tradition to go here each year.
